This modern facility was built in 2001 with an expansive view of the Monterey Bay. The facility is designed to enable seniors with a variety of disabilities to live in a beautiful setting with supervision and support. Drake House is dedicated to the concept of healthy aging and wellness. The program will promote an active lifestyle including the following: Physical activity and exercise programs Healthy dietary options with education towards making good food choices Activities to stimulate the brain with a variety of learning opportunities including crossword puzzles, reading, writing, discussion groups and exercises to help to keep the mind healthy Adult level education classes presented on site including musical performances, videos, arts and crafts, therapeutic art, communication, gardening, cooking, and seated games and exercises Stress reduction activities Enhancing social connections Opportunity to stay spiritually connected in the activities of the individual’s choice Drake House can provide to each resident: Medication assistance Assistance with bathing, grooming and dressing Escorting to meals and activities Incontinence care Daily housekeeping Personal laundry Drake House is licensed by the State of California, Community Care Licensing Department, (License Number 275294182).
